The fluorescent lighting is washed out by the natural lighting that shines in and casts shadows on the dark surfaces. Light bends as it hits surfaces and changes throughout the day due to the position that the sun moves to. Reflective surfaces causes color contrast with dark and light neutral colors. This particular space is used for gaining access to different levels of the building as well as serve as a point of exit.
